Great family accommodation
Located on a working farm just outside Tebay, this group of cottages are well placed for both the Lakes and the Yorkshire dales. Although there didn't seem to be much in the village itself, it is only a 20 minute drive to Kendal where there is a good selection of shops and supermarkets. Mount cottage was well appointed and spotlessly clean. Two double rooms both have ensuites and a further three bedded room ideal for kids and with a family bathroom. Owners are on site every day and very friendly and helpful. The children loved the play area and enjoyed watching the sheep and goats. Close to m6 and railway but we weren't bothered by noise. Mattresses on double beds were a bit "springy" but otherwise very comfortable accommodation with everything we needed. Would love to stay again.

Beautiful cottage...
We stayed there with relatives for a few days. There is a rambling track down to the cottages - don't look down! The satnav takes you to the door, so is easy to find. It is very well equipped; recommend you take some extra loo roll and dishwasher tabs. Two of the rooms have on suite and the shower was lovely. Beds are comfy, could have done with a summer weight quilt as we were hot. The cottage was spotless and done to a high spec. There is WiFi and the connection was good. We liked the enclosed garden at the back as we took the dog so they could be let out without much worry. We did have the heating on on one cold day and it got nice and cosy. The M6 does run at the back but I didn't hear the road noise in the bedroom. The cottage was used as a base so it was wasn't a major problem. Beautiful scenery. Would go back there again!

The house was exactly what we were looking for and was a super base for exploring the Lake district and Dales.

Fantastic place and the family were wonderful too. We will definitely go back.

We had a lovely weekend and the cottage was great. It was well laid out so even though we were 7 plus a dog we didn't feel cramped at all. It was great to be so close to the river with some lovely walks. We felt we had really got away from the hamster wheel for a week end. The standard of the cottage was excellent. Warmer than my own house!
