This beautiful cottage is just what we need. Dog friendly and lovely touches from the host. It is tastefully decorated, homely and warm. Our dogs love it here. Storm Ciara is howling outside but we don't care. Get the books out, open the wine and baton down the hatches in this gorgeous quirky cottage. Reeth is so dog friendly, each pub welcomes you.

Fabulous Little Cottage
Dibble cottage in Reeth is a fabulous little place for a week in The Dales, and I can?t praise it enough. On arrival all the treats were well received, including for the dog. (The home made bread was amazing.) There was a blanket for the dog in the upstairs lounge and a towel to dry her off, which were things we did not expect, so every little detail had been considered for it to be home from home. While it is compact, it has everything you need, and is in a good central location right next to the green, so it was really easy to take the dog for her early morning or last thing at night loo break. In the village there are three dog friendly pubs and a dog friendly hotel bar, so you are spoilt for choice after a long days walk in the Dales. You don't have to travel if you don't want to as there are so many lovely walks from the village. For a couple with a dog, Dibble Cottage is a fantastic choice.

Sorry dibble but don't go into league with Sykes .
I booked this cottage for a 7 night break over Easter. From the picture on the website, to me, it looks like there is an entrance to the right of the front door. The gate I am talking about is painted green and it looks like it goes into a private yard so I booked it. I thought it was perfect as are going with our dogs. However, I since found out that it does not lead to a private yard, it does not belong to the property and the property does not have a secure outside area. I requested to cancel as they were advertising it as dog friendly, they should say that it doesn't have a secure area for the dogs. I considered it unsuitable for my requirements. I was giving them 9 months notice. They refused saying if it had a secure area, it would have said. They refused a refund as they have a total no refund policy. What period are these shysters living in. To me, this picture is mis representing the amenities of the property and they should have accepted this and change the photo. If the photo did not show this, I would have asked. Anyway, since I booked we have acquired another dog so I txt the owner of the property to see if they would be flexible enough to allow us to take 3 dogs instead of 2 that they allow on the website. They said no. Ok, again, to me, you either accept dogs or you don't. We have had 3 holidays where we have asked for flexibility with regards the number of dogs. This is the only one that said no. But it is their property so fair enough. My grief is that I text the owner, and they referred it to Sykes to ring us to tell us 'no'. They left a message with no name of caller or contact number. The message just said if I could ring them back regarding my holiday. Why couldn't the owner of the property just txt me back telling me 'no', it would have been easier, more polite and respectful. I have spoke to other people since and they also, won't touch Sykes with a barge pole for similar reasons to mine. Well I won't be booking again with Sykes and it's a shame that companies exist like this that give the UK holiday industry a bad name.

Perfect dog friendly cottage
Fabulous cottage, and such a warm welcome for us and the pooch. If you are looking to stay in Reeth this is the perfect place for 2.

Perfect in every way,
We stayed here for a weekend and cannot say enough good things. The cottage is so well thought out with every single space put to good use. The owner has thought of absolutely everything you could need and there are lots of thoughtful additions to make for a very comfortable stay. Lovely touches like a personal welcome message on the chalkboard, biscuits for the dogs and prosecco, milk and bread for us on arrival. Dog friendly pubs, welcoming locals and stunning dales scenery all around. If anyone can fault this cottage and this place then they are unable to be pleased if you ask us. We fell in love and will be back again.
