Unfortunately won't be going again
Although the cottage was well situated for exploring the area, and nicely decorated there are three reasons we won't be going again. 1,We live on a main road so really didn't think it would be an issue staying on a main road, however we didn't realise that every time we went out we would be taking our lives into our own hands. The speed limit is 40mph and the cottage is on a blind bend. Not ideal if you enjoy a good night's sleep with the road a meter from the bedroom window and traffic speeding past at all hrs, including tipper trucks on there way to and from the local quarry.Wouldn't recommend for families with young children, the old or infirm. 2, Advertised as dog friendly, we had to speak to the owner a few days before we went and was told that we couldn't take our dog, I told him that we had booked because it was dog friendly so he agreed that we could take it. Not that dog friendly, we have a border terrier who loves a good run in the garden, there was no outside space and so had to risk our lives again to take the dog out after his meals and at bed time, wouldn't recommend to dog owners. 3 advertised as having wi-fi............... wouldn't recommend you book if you want wi-fi it was reminiscent of the old dial up but this wi-fi was worse, when you do pick up a signal you have to hope and pray that it doesn't drop out within 2 minutes. The cottage was well equipped with, microwave, washing machine, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and tvs in both bedrooms with free view

Disappointing/dangerous location
Prior to arrival we contacted the owners regarding access to the cottage. They informed they would email the code for the key safe this they did not do so we had t contact them again to receive the code. On arrival we were amazed at how busy the road was, the cottage is located on a bend which is not a problem from the car park on the opposite side of the road however when leaving the cottage to transfer items to and from the car you have to step into the road to see the traffic coming from both ways. You literally have to dash across the busy A6 with a 50mph speed limit in force. Needless to say many vehicles are doing in excess of this. The traffic noise was excessive inside the cottage in both the living room and bedrooms which are less than a metre from the road. Although we had paid for the week because of the excessive noise we left the following day to find accommodation elsewhere. No person came to meet and great us whist we were there.

The Stables is very spacious, comfortable and warm. Very well provided with books and both bedrooms were most pleasant as were the en-suite facilities.
