Very cosy cottage in an undisturbed, beautiful location. Nice bedrooms , fantastic living space, a large kitchen and a very o pretty garden. Nice surroundings suitable for walks and within an hour of Snowdonia NP. Bala not too far off for amenities and services etc.
We sampled the best of welsh weather in north wales. Arrived during a mini heatwave and left during storm Hannah....But no matter what the weather everything here is perfect! This cottage and its gardens are a quirky bundle of comfort and joy. We loved every aspect from the cosy Woodburners, the gorgeous peaceful gardens down to the unevenness of the cottage floors and low beams! Bethan the host could not have been more helpful and friendly and certainly provided everything we could have wished for for a fantastic week away. Everything was provided from the general things you expect but also books, games, stair gates, binoculars and Sky TV including movies that we enjoyed in front of the cozy fire during the colder evenings.
The cottage is perfectly situated on the edge of the woods in a quiet area near Bala and its famous lake and town. The large beautiful garden is perfect for peaceful afternoons relaxing, fun with the kids or if you wish, to take advantage of Snowdonias dark sky status as I did. For days out you have the whole of Snowdonia at your doorstep. Bala 5mins, Betws-y-Coed 50mins, Llanberis/Snowdon 1hr, Anglesey 1hr 20mins, Beddgelert 50mins, Caernarfon 1hr 10mins.
We loved the panoramic views enjoyed at breakfast, the wildlife including the sheep in the adjoining field, the birds, frogs in the pond and Bethans Cat, Llew (Lion)! Our stay was everything we could have wished for and more. Our only complaint is that a week wasn?t long enough! Thanks for your hospitality and allowing us to stay at your fantastic cottage......We will definitely see you again in the hopefully not to distant future. Diolch!
Super cosy cottage with a large equally cosy garden.
Cottage has everything you need for your stay, including 2 woodburners.
Cottage and garden are decorated with an eye for detail ... you could stay here for 2 weeks and still discover new things in and around the house.
This was our second visit to Eithin Fynydd and we have another booked for July - we like it so much. The cottage is beautifully furnished and the garden well maintained. The chickens are real characters and provided much amusement. Bethan, the owner, is a fantastic host. Light the woodburners and curl up with a good book. The local area is stunning.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Eithin Fynydd and are already considering returning next year. The cottage is quite secluded but the upside of this is the tranquillity and the superb views. The owner Bethan is very welcoming as are her two chickens. The cottage is beautifully furnished and has plenty of cutlery and crockery etc. Lovely grounds and parking for 2 cars. The boys enjoyed lighting the wood burner in the lounge in the evenings.
