Fantastic
This cottage is beautiful. The owners are next door and are there if required, If you ask them for their advice of local attractions then they are very helpful. The cottage has two lovely bedrooms, a large lounge/Kitchen/Diner.
It was very quiet and we just had the hens to listen to during the evening whilst admiring the views across the hills from the patio!

Superb cottage in idyllic surroundings.
Absolutely beautiful and high-spec (dog-friendly) cottage with every modern convenience. Situated within a rugged yet beautiful part of the North Yorkshire Moors. In the village there's a station, two pubs, a tea shop and small Co-op convenience store. What more could one wish for. Pickering, Rievaulx Abbey, Helmsley, Whitby (we went by train at about £6.50 return), Staithes, Robin Hood Bay, Guisborough and Stokesley are all worth a visit. Finding local pubs serving good beer and good food can sometimes be difficult, but in Castleton, Danby and the surrounding villages you are spoilt for choice. Furthermore, the owners were very welcoming and helpful and we will definitely recommend Hare Slack Farm to family and friends.

Perfect place for a peaceful holiday in beautiful surroundings
This is the ideal place to relax and unwind. The holiday accomodation which ajoins the owners property provides 5 star standards. Internally all the features and facilities you need and externally views and features to match. The owners are very friendly and helpful. local facilties are very good. Access to coast and all other N. Yorkshire countryside attractions are easy and if you want to veer of the tourist routes there are many hidden beauty spots to explore but, don't totally rely on sat-nav to guide you, a good co-pilot with a map is recommended.

Wonderful Cottage
This is an excellent cottage with all the amenities you could wish for. The only problem was total lack of mobile phone signal maybe a pay phone would be good. Otherwise excellent holiday accommodation with friendly owners and lovely animals on the farm.

Ohh what a find
We stayed here in May and if I could I would go every month for a week. Everything that you could want for a restful and sightseeing holiday. Lots of walks or cycling all around. The owner Lesley is nice and a complimentary bottle of wine and cake meets you on arrival. The views are fabulous and we did not go our some days we just rested and took in the views... very dog friendly.
All in all, if you want all of the above at a decent price for a 5 star accommodation then this is the place...
