Visiting family
We used Ty Maen as a base to visit family in Bridgend. The house was very convenient when travelling off the M4. McArthur Glen shopping centre is nearby, also worth a visit is Bryngarw Park, which is only a few miles away. The house itself is spotless, lovely bathroom and a nice big, comfortable bed. Unfortunately, we could not make use of the patio and garden as the weather was bad, but it would be a lovely private area on a nice day. The welcome pack was lovely, and fresh flowers on the table were a nice touch. I would not hesitate to use Ty Maen again and would gladly recommend.

Stayed for a week when the welsh lockdown started to lift. The property is very well presented. The decor and furniture is very good and it has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. The welcome pack is very good and has everything that you need to get you started food wise. ALL in all and very enjoyable stay. It is a good base for south wales.

Home owner went out of her way to ensure we had the basics including baking us a lovely cake.
Lovely house only 2 things missing, dish washer and tumble dryer but believe me it was no hardship. House backs on to a paddock with a very friendly horse and owners dog also very friendly. My husband was playing golf all week so it was a good base. Shops not too far but a car is needed if you want to get out and about, I was happy just to take the time to chill. If you like birds of prey and want to try archery you must visit Perriswood archery and falcon centre ?28 for 2 adults this includes falconry, archery and afternoon tea so worth the money and a great day out, if you have kids or are big kids this is not to be missed.

This accommodation was superb. It was very comfortable and nicely thought out. There is a good amount of storage in the bedroom and kitchen. We received a lovely welcome from owners and their dog - a real home from home.

The cottage was beautifully looked after. Masses of towels left for us and bath robes. The bedroom was gorgeous, very thoughtfully laid out. Everything was spotlessly clean and it was just what we needed.
