Perfect Birthday Celebrations!
Castlemill We have just returned from a fantastic week at Castlemill whilst celebrating 3 Birthdays with good friends and family. The house caters for all and has spectacular views and gorgeous surroundings that were enjoyed by all including Bailey the dog! Some top highlights of our holiday includes meeting Boris the little lamb, everyone gathered around in the specious kitchen dancing, singing and having a little tipple (or 3 egg cups of Barcardi in NanaD's case!) to celebrate the birthdays and creating lasting memories. The two living rooms were perfect and a fab size to enjoy film nights and even the kids had a room to escape the adults!! Richmond is a beautiful town to visit for the day along with a nice stroll down to the Bay Horse and a day trip out to Easby Abbey were lovely. The farm shop is also worth a visit to see the Camels! We had such a good time and are still reminiscing and laughing about it now it was a fabulous venue especially to celebrate NanaD's 70th Birthday who enjoyed every minute! Castlemill is a credit to Mel and we will look forward to returning in the near future.

Brilliant 60th with my family
What a beautiful house and Mel couldn't have been more helpful. She sent us an email with full details of how to get there and went through all the important information for staying in the house. A real gem of a lady. We were also welcomed with wine, biscuits, milk, crisps, coffee and tea - a real treat when your waiting on your weekend shop to arrive. The house itself is absolutely perfect two bedrooms on each floor along with ample shower facilities and a bath for the kids. The kitchen is huge and there was nothing we couldn't find. There are two sitting rooms, one on the ground floor and a large one on the 1st floor. There's also a washing machine and clothes horse for those little emergencies. There as a lot of talk about the cock-a-doodle-doo's but they were just a laughing point to our group. My nieces little boy used to wake his dad up in the morning shouting cock-a-doodle-doo! Richmond is worth a visit - the family visited the castle and we took my mum around the shops and to one of the many coffee houses. We had a meal in the Town Hall which was lovely with great service. We'd definitely return to this house and location. Thanks for a great time.

Fabulous Castle Mill
Booked for a week in September for 30th wedding anniversary for family and friends. Couldn?t believe our luck when we arrived; fabulous, spacious house. Lovely rural location with 2 pubs within walking distance. Fabulous views in all directions. We were greeted with a lovely welcome pack which was a very nice gesture (thank you!) close proximity to plenty of attractions - if looking for a delicious breakfast you HAVE to go to Stoneygate Farm Shop; huge breakfast for very little money. All with local produce on the outskirts of the village - again within walking distance passing the beautiful castle ruins on the way.

My partner booked Castle Mill for a surprise weekend away for my 30th Birthday! It was beautiful! The house is amazing with so many thoughtful extras, ear plugs for the cockerels, a lovely hamper upon arrival, toys for children (this was a child free visit but will be bringing our daughter next time) The views are breathtaking! Waking up to all the animals every morning was lovely. My partner says the contact with Mell the owner was fantastic in the run up to the trip! Thank you so much, we can?t wait to come back again and hopefully stay longer!
