First Class Holiday Accomodation
Our second visit to this extremely well appointed property - we will be returning. Ann, the owner, is charming and attentive - the cream scones and bottle of Prosecco were a most welcome surprise after our journey. Everything was prepared to a very high standard - our guests from Southampton said this was the best holiday property they had stayed in. We had to turn the heating down - we are not used to such opulent luxury! The very large lounge was big enough to allow several groups to entertain themselves without interference with each other. Excellent for access to the beach at Bamburgh, Barter Books at Alnwick - the Alnwick Castle and Gardens had not yet opened at the time of our visit - Seahouses, Holy Island, Beadnell, Craster, Berwick, Eyemouth. What more could one ask for?

Spacious and warm
Lovely spacious and well appointed place to stay in a great setting with everything you need. Ann is friendly and helpful and recommended great places to eat out.

I very rarely write reviews but this cottage really deserves all the praise. The property is huge and comfortable for 6. Lounge has an amazing log burner, all mod cons and the small touches on arrival such as a small hamper with fresh scones. The location is close to Seahouse, Bamburgh, Alnwick etc and set in a very quiet wooded area close to Middleton Hall. The shops in Belford are very close too. Would certainly recommend staying here and are more the certain to come back.

Peaceful weekend break
Having driven to Newcastle from Cornwall for a business meeting my wife and I wanted a peaceful retreat for the weekend. As a country dweller peace and quiet tops my list of requirements with access to the coast for recreation whilst my wife is looking for a little home from home. The Estate Office set in beautiful countryside well off the main roads fits the bill perfectly with some luxury for the wife after a long drive and long coastal walks. The welcome was warm and friendly, the facilities first rate and the peace and quiet breath taking. The surrounding countryside and Northumberland coast are just spectacular. I'll be back with my scuba gear for more in depth exploring. This is our second stay at the Mill House facility and won't be the last (booked up again for same time next year on the annual business trip and looking to get up in early summer as well next year.

The Estate Office is in an excellent location, handy for the A1 yet peaceful. It is set in woods and we saw deer and red squirrels from the lounge window! We had everything we needed and more. The cottage was very well equipped should you choose to eat in. The thought the beds were very comfy. The Owner is a very nice lady who made us feel very welcome.
