Not impressed
I booked for 8 not enough bedding not enough seating all pots & pans had dry food on them as did the cutlery spider man would have been impressed with how many cobwebs there was not too sure the bedding was changed from previous guests apart from the hot tub not very good at all . Will not use this accomadation again

Lovely, quiet setting, disappointing fishing holiday
This lodge is set in a lovely, quiet location. The lodge is very nice but there are a few things missing and there are also some things that need attention. If there are six adults in the lodge there is not enough seating in the lounge we had to use a dining chair which was not very comfy to sit and watch a film on. There were pegs provided but no line or airer to hang wet swimwear or towels after using the hot tub so unfortunately we had to use the washer/drier to dry the towels when they could have easily dried in the sun. There is also nowhere to hang towels in either of the bathrooms. The washing machine door seal was incredibly dirty. The toilet roll holder was still hanging off in the shower room even though it had been pointed out to the owner in the guest book a year ago, there was also a slight sewage smell in the en-suite bathroom which had also been mentioned in the visitors book. Ensure you take coat hangers as there were about 12 provided altogether. We have visited many lodges and cottages and have always found the information book extremely helpful but there was no information book here just a few leaflets on the coffee table and there was no access to the internet until the day we were coming home. If its a fishing holiday you are wanting then this is not the place for you. The lake was full of weeds and impossible to fish which was extremely disappointing as we came here for our yearly fishing holiday. There is also nowhere to store fishing equipment so it had to be locked in the car every night, some outdoor storage would be ideal.

Perfect weekend away
My boyfriend and I booked up The Boathouse Lodge for our 6 year anniversary, and I cannot recommend this place enough. The Lodge itself is absolutely gorgeous, extremely clean and tidy, beautifully presented. The location is very quiet and tranquil. It includes a private sunken hot tub which was an added bonus, overlooking a stunning lake, filled with wildlife. The lodge was very warm and cosy, well decorated and equipped with everything we needed. Also included was a free bottle of wine! Cannot fault a single thing, exceeded our expectations, we had a lovely weekend and will definitely be back in the future.

The Boathouse Lodge is magical it's location is stunning, tranquil and private. The lodge is very well decorated with all the homely touches its well equipped and very clean. The hot tub is a real bonus its very relaxing in a beautiful setting over looking the lake we had a fantastic time and would definately book again couldn't recommend highly enough.

The Boathouse was fantastic and was everything we expected and much more. The holiday park was quiet enough to relax but with enough to do that there was never a dull moment. It was the push we needed to buy a lodge of our own.
