Great Cottage, ideally situated. Real home from home. This cottage is ideally located, close to the beach, a pub and the shops. It is extremely well equipped with everything you could want, WiFi, CD player and cds, dvd player and dvd and books. It was home from home for us. Plenty of walks nearby on beach, footpaths and woods about a 5 to 10 minute drive away. There are 3 pubs or hotels all within walking distance, the closest,The Ship being dog friendly. All serve food. There are 2 good fish and chip shops nearby plus other eating establishments all of which serve a variety of foods. There is also an excellent Spar nearby. About 8 miles away is Cromer and beyond Sheringham. There is plenty to see and do in the area, a lot of it dog friendly. It was great to find this cottage and the area. We hope to return next year. hurribear 2017-10-16
A lovely cottage in a perfect setting. Mrs Nicholls 2016-08-06
Cobbler's Cottage was an absolute haven. As soon as we walked in the cottage felt like home. Even though the cottage is situated "on the roadside" it was not noticeable at all. We felt completely relaxed and at home. Good base to visit all surrounding places of interest. Thoroughly recommend this cottage! Mrs Grant 2016-03-03
What a little gem of a find We were looking for a cottage near the beach on the north Norfolk coast to stay for a short break with our dog. We found the perfect place. This little cottage is fabulous. It is a two minute walk to the most spectacular beach that goes on for miles and at this time of the year is so quiet you get it all almost to yourself. We had stunning weather for January but even on a blustery, rainy day this beach is second to none.
Across the road - a 2 minute walk - is a fabulous little dog friendly pub called the Ship Inn. We had an evening meal there which was gorgeous. My husband had fish and chips and said it was the best he's ever tasted. I had fish pie and it was full of mussels and salmon - absolutely lovely. We also had Sunday lunch which was a huge plate of the most tasty, fresh, great quality food I've had in a long, long time.
Back to the cottage, I am almost regretting doing a review because it is so lovely we know it's going to be really popular and we think we may struggle to book!! It is a lovely little two bedroom, comfy, cosy, quiet and beautiful little find. As soon as we arrived Sara met us and showed us where everything was - she had thought of everything and provided everything we needed for our week's stay. The cottage had a delightful little kitchen with everything you need and that leads into a dining room which was great for myself and my husband to enjoy our breakfast and evening meals. There is then a lovely cosy front room with an open fire which was so welcoming after a long walk on the beach. Upstairs - which are quiet steep - there is a comfortable double bedroom with lovely furnishings and also another bedroom with two single beds. Both are lovely and warm. There is a bathroom with shower and bath and Sara had provided lovely soft towels. At the top of the stairs is a little window with a huge windowsill from which you can sit and look at the sea - a perfect spot to do a little reading on a lazy afternoon.
There's a little courtyard which is gated and so secure for your dog. Our dog had the time of her life whilst we were at Cobblers Cottage as she had the beach just over the road and enjoyed lots of long runs. The Ship Inn is also dog friendly and so it was perfect for us.
I would recommend Cobblers Cottage to anyone looking for a cosy beach retreat (I probably wouldn't recommend to anyone with mobility problems however as the stairs are quite steep). It is central to lots of lovely places to visit like Cromer, Sheringham and Holt all of which are only a short drive away.
We had a lovely break and will definitely be back very soon. lesley s 2016-01-10
