Mr
A little disappointed. The carpet was grubby in places and the kitchen cupboards dated & tired as was the decor. There was a double bed in one room, but the mattress was higher in the middle which made it uncomfortable to sleep in. As a result my husband decided to sleep next door where there were two single beds. He found this even worse. Too short for an adult and extreme creaky whenever he moved. It would make sense to have a double which could be split into singles when needed and even better divans. The bathroom was smaller than expected and there were traces of mould round the window and the wooden frame on the mirror. The radiator in the hallway is rusty (I guess because wet stuff is hung up on the hooks over it). The wooden window frames in the bedrooms could have done with a wipe or at the very least a paint. We have stayed in better cottages with much better bathrooms and paid less. In fact we paid around ?620 which I feel was too much for what we got. Whilst it was mentioned dogs are welcome it was somewhat stressful to receive an email a week before we left, stating dogs were not allowed on the furniture or to be left alone. I?m sorry not to leave a glowing report but like I said I feel we paid a lot and received very little compared to other cottages we have rented in the past with another company.
