Terrible place avoid !
I booked 2 nights for 4 people and 2 small dogs after reading reviews on TA and another site , the reviews have been taken off since we booked, I wonder why! As soon as you enter the house the smell hits you it's damp and musty smell is terrible. The house hadn?t been looked after or decorated for a good while. The standard of the house inside is the worst we've even stayed at after many years travelling around the world. The bed in the master bedroom is more like a torture rack with pillows as old as the house I would say. The bed linen was damp and the master bedroom smelt so strong of damp and a musty smell, we had to stay the night with the door open. The worst was at night around 2am when my son went into the kitchen to check on the dogs he slipped on a large slug on the floor, we then noticed there were about 10 slugs, on the work tops and the floor, and the thing that really upset us was in the dog water bowls as these can be a serious threat to the dogs health. We didn?t sleep all night in this terrible house and nothing to do with it being in the graveyard as that didn?t bother us. We booked out the next day and paid extra to stay at a lovely guest house in the village which felt like we had moved to the ritz after the night before. I don't write poor reviews only usually good ones but people need to be told the truth about this property to save them having a dreadful experience like we had, as this place is a serious health risk.

Moriah House
Fell in love with this cottage just looking at the photos when I booked it. I hoped it would live up to my expectations. On entering the property, with my partner, our daughter's age 7&9, and our dog, we were all amazed and lost for words! It was beautiful! Far more to offer inside than we had imagined. Lovely nautical theme running through and a good mixture of old and new interior features and furnishings. This property changes with the weather. On sunny days, it feels spacious and bright. The light pours through the large windows. In dull days, it feels snug and cosy in its dim light, especially with the fire lit. More than adequately kitted out kitchen. Inside, the living areas were nice and clean. This is a fantastic base for exploring the surrounding areas. We look forward to booking again. A couple of things for owner to address or consider though. None of these are written as a negative, just as areas that could improve someone's stay. As a dog owner, it would be nice, if possible, to have a small gate at the rear of the property. This would allow the door to outside to be open without worrying about the dog escaping. (We did make use of the fire guard as a tempory barrier!) My 9 year old scalded her back quite badly in the shower when the kitchen tap was turned on. ( warning for other guests) I had to remove one of the bed protectors in daughters room due to an unsightly stain on it. Lastly, a quick hoover under/behind beds needed. Despite this, and the lack of parking, (had to carry all our bits down the hill, but we were aware of this on booking) we had the most amazing stay! Thank you.
