Perfect for a couple
We've stayed in quite a few S/C places in the Dales over the past 20+ years and Owl Cottage is as good as any we've experienced. Our needs have changed little in that time - other than our son no longer comes with us! We look for somewhere comfortable to come back to each night, convenient parking and decent places to eat. Owl Cottage ticks all the boxes. Add to that the wonderful Yorkshire scenery and the choice of easy(ish) and challenging walks within reasonable distance and it's hard to think of a better holiday. We didn't meet the owners, Mike and Karen, during our stay but the contact beforehand and for 'laundry handover' was warm and friendly. The welcome pack was just that - very welcome after six hours driving! We'll certainly be putting this as our first choice for any future trips to Yorkshire.
