Wonderful house
What a beautifully finished renovation. All the fixtures and fitting are top class, bathrooms are very well appointed, with plenty of hot water for a family of 5 adults and 2 toddlers!! The hot tub is a wonderful addition, as we spent most evenings in it, instead of going looking for a pub!! Perfect base location for trips around North Wales. Owner is very pleasant and helpful, with no issues arising, we didn't have much contact!!

Lovely house with plenty of space
We stayed here in October half term as 2 families.
2 kids, 2 teens and 4 adults.
We found the space was just right for our party.
The children mostly used the snug, we took 1 Xbox and plugged it in there which meant they had their own space and us adults used the main living area.
The property has a selection of games, we enjoyed playing poker. And the littles played snakes and ladders.
The wifi signal isn?t great within the house, much to the teens disappointment they had to stay down stairs if they needed to use their laptops or phones.
The hot tub was a huge hit with everyone, it can comfortably fit 4 people in at one time.
The men made use of the sauna which was a little different to other properties around.
The family bathroom has a nice oval shaped bath and a large walk in shower. We did experience issues with the shower being slow to drain away, the cleaner did come straight out with some drain unblocked but it didn?t really help, the owner is aware and I believe trying to resolve the situation.
We couldn?t use the secure onsite parking as our Discovery 5 couldn?t fit through the gateway, however there was always space out the front or down the side of the house where the owner has a garage. We did park to the side of the house on the first day and got a note on the car from neighbours saying residents only. After this we were offered the spaces next to the owners garage so it wasn?t an issue.
The main road is a busy one but with the windows shut you cannot hear it too badly.
The house was in overall clean condition ,
There was the odd cobweb, a fair few flies seemed to appear each day and we did find some of the oven trays, dishes , pots and pans were dirty from previous guests.
We have a little OCD so re washed everything we used before using it!
There was only just about enough knifes and forks, as long as you wash up as you go along you won?t run out.
You will need?
Washing liquid, sponges, toilet rolls( 1 per
Room provided) extra bin bags,
Tea towels (2 are provided)
Tea, coffee, sugar and milk.
Logs if you wish to use the fire.
Each sink did have a liquid hand soap.
Each bed had a hand towel and small towel ( you may want to bring a bath sheet)
Overall we had a really pleasant stay and would book this property again if we were to come to
wales.

Some good features but may not be suitable for eight people
This was our second choice after our first was cancelled late in the day. We were a group of four single people using it as a base for walking, and the location and the indoor space generally worked well for us. However, there were some shortcomings.
Upstairs there are four bedrooms. The main room is massive and bedrooms two and three are a good size, but the fourth is tight for space and has two single beds yet no bedside tables, lamps or mirror. This is an eight-person house with only one ensuite which, if it were fully occupied, would mean six people sharing the main bathroom (which is lovely, spacious and does have a fantastic shower!). Oh yes, and the floorboards upstairs are very creaky which makes it quite noisy downstairs if anyone is walking around above.
Downstairs, the snug area was lovely, roomy and comfortable and the open plan kitchen, dining, living area was also good, with folding doors outside. The kitchen is generally well-equipped although a larger group would need more cutlery, and there were only six dining chairs which, again, would present problems for a group of eight.
The house is on a very busy, and noisy road. If you keep all the windows and doors shut the double-glazing does its job, but if you want to let any air in (which can be a challenge as the windows don't open very wide) or sit outside, then the traffic noise comes with it. We parked easily on the road outside the house so we didn't need the vehicle access to the back (where the hot tub and sauna are).
There were limited cleaning materials provided and we were surprised not to find any sort of welcome pack - not even a pint of milk.
Overall the house worked reasonably well for us given we were only four and we were only using it to eat and sleep in, but we thought it was a bit over-priced and lacking in a few basics.
Ruthin itself has a small but charming town centre, but the options for eating out are a bit limited. We cooked for ourselves six nights out of seven and used the large Tesco and the Co-op for food shopping which provided everything we needed.

Fantastic stay
We had a great long weekend here celebrating a 21st, 50th and 60th birthday. The house is beautiful, perfect for a large group. Everything we needed was available. The owner was lovely and we had no problems. Short walk to town where there are shops, supermarkets and pubs etc. We would love to return.

Superb in so many ways !
Superb location to the wonders of Ruthin which itself is splendid for a plethora of reasons.
The House has been constructed and designed to the highest of standards. So we'll designed to encourage a large group to socialise and enjoy each other's company. Massive open downstairs space, with such great privacy of upstairs bedrooms.
Hotub is a delight. Outdoor space plentiful.
We will be back believe me.
