This terraced townhouse is in the village of Bala near to Corwen and can sleep four people in two bedrooms.

Penllyn House is a lovely terraced townhouse situated in the village of Bala just eleven miles from Corwen in Gwynedd. The townhouse can sleep four people in two double bedrooms as well as a family bathroom. Also in the cottage is a kitchen, dining room and sitting room with electric fire. Outside is off road parking for one car and an enclosed courtyard with furniture. Penllyn House is a delightful base from which to explore this beautiful part of the country.

Perfect base for North and Mid Wales mountain biking
I stayed here with my two teenage sons as a base for a short mtb break at May half term. We booked at short notice and had to pay the full week price for 4 nights which is fine. It is a well equipped and cosy cottage in a great spot to get to Coed y Brenin (30 mins), Bwylch Nant yr Arian (1.5 hours) and Penmachno (30 mins) - all fantastic locations for everything from gentle walks to severe mtb trails. The only reason I haven?t given 5 stars is that the broadband didn?t work at all during our stay (we had to rely on 4G which was just about ok for route planning etc), there is no bathroom mirror, (although there is a shaver socket), so no shaving while you are here, and the noise from the pub opposite on Saturday night.

Lovely house great location
Well what can I say what a lovely cute house nicely decorated, warm and cosy, dog friendly as well. Great location for doing touristy things around the area. Some nice pubs and restaurants in the town, if you're looking for a country retreat then look elsewhere this is a townhouse pure and simple with everything you need on the doorstep would recommend this place to all my friends and family.

No double glazing, across the road from pub beer garden
The house itself is lovely and a great base for Bala.....the parking is very tight we have a Toyota avensis and we had to park it on the road behind the property.....not a problem....the people are lovely. This single biggest problem with this property is the location. Yes it is on the high street so you can hear the cars etc....the problem is that there is a pub directly opposite with the beer garden out the front (this pub must have an all night liscence) This will be our 3rd night here, the last 2 previous we have been woken up at 2.30 in the morning (after finally falling asleep, exhausted by being kept awake until passed 1am due to the noise) to the sounds of drunk revellers singing, shouting, screaming at each other, smashing glass, kicking things and swearing at the top of their voices. It is so loud that we have been able to record the noise from inside the house with all the windows closed. The master bedroom is at the front of the house, the pub garden is opposite. Luckily, it was a lot quieter in the back room which is where our daughter slept, although she reported being able to hear some noise (so it is loud enough to pass through closed windows and 2 shut doors). We are both very grumpy, very tired, very disappointed and eagerly looking forward to being able to leave here tomorrow morning. I am so disappointed and bitterly regret paying good money to come away for what we thought to have been a relaxing family weekend in wales!!! This is such a shame for the owners of this house as the house is great, big enough for A family and a dog, warm, well looked after. Would not remommend staying here if you like to sleep at night!!!!!!

A very welcoming cottage in a good location, it was lovely and clean with very nice furnishings. The beds were really comfy and it had everything you needed for a very comfortable stay. Overall we all had a lovely stay.
