So nearly there
Will like to start with the good points. Was very clean, welcome pack, the pictures are spot on, location, the kitchen area is very small but works and directions. Unfortunately there are a few things that let it down. The bathroom is very small, I'm 6ft 2inch and couldn't easily use the toilet. The non-existent Wi-Fi. Although it does matter, but shouldn't say it has, when it doesn't. Unfortunately the water wasn't working on our last morning, so no shower, toilet or drink in the morning. Now I know these things happen and we did receive a text to tell us. But when you are told that they will contact sykes and get you a refund, I don't expect to find out 3 days later they didn't contact them and to be offered ?20. I would have returned but will now look elsewhere. So if you are short, not bothered about not having Wi-Fi or the possibility of no water. This is the place for you.

Great accommodation in a lovely area
We took a 3 night break with our little dog. Lovely modern one room accommodation with a small shower room. Don?t expect to be able to cook meals as the facilities are limited, but there is an inn within 5 minutes walk serving excellent quality food. The garden is lovely to sit in and have a cuppa in the morning or a beer at night. It is also fully enclosed, should you wish to let your dog have a run around. Tom is a lovely guy and explained everything. The area is great for walks and visiting some lovely places. You?re only a short drive from Barnard Castle which has lots of shops and places to eat. I would definitely stay again.

Compact, comfortable and just right for 2 with a dog.
The property is small but has everything you need for cooking in a couple of cupboards. Light and airy the temperature is always just right with under floor heating and velux windows. Very clean, especially the bathroom, and easy to keep tidy because of the hidden storage areas. Even the dog was happy with a basket and treats provided, and a large secure garden for him to romp in. Very warm welcome from the owner and a lovely welcome hamper of wine, local bread, biscuits and honey, eggs, butter and milk. Good TV reception (not always the case in this area!) and Wifi. Good if you like walking, near to Barnard Castle, Hawes, Yorkshire Dales, and the Lakes. Quiet location but beautiful scenery and views.

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful location
My partner and I stayed for a week in this lovely studio apartment. I was so pleasantly surprised with how modern, clean and well supplied the property was, it had everything we needed for our stay and it was always nice and warm! Tom, the owner, was very friendly and helpful throughout. The property is in a brilliant location, with a great pub just down the road and Castle Barnard and High Force Waterfalls only a short drive away. We couldn't have asked for more and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would definetly stay here again and recommend it to others. Many thanks!
