Lovely venue
Recently returned from a weeks stay at Gorsthead Mill Farm. Beautiful farmhouse with a large downstairs. Huge kitchen, comfy lounge for relaxing after a busy day walking. Stunning location, very peaceful other than the occasional steam train passing by. Well equipped for all our needs.
Helpful owner when we needed the toaster replaced... it arrived the next morning!
Lots to do in the area... Leek is the nearest town with some quirky independent shops tucked away from the main high street. Would recommend.

New year break
Had a great week at Gorstead Mill Farm, lovely house in a great location only a few minutes drive from the town of Leek with easy access to country walks. The house has everything you need and is easily big enough accommodate 2 families, hope we can visit again.

Great week in a lovely property
This farmhouse is in a great location to explore the surrounding area with all essential amenities nearby in Leek. It was lovely to stay somewhere that provided plenty of glasses, plates and cutlery etc. The wood-burner was a nice treat to sit around in the evenings and we all enjoyed playing some of the board games available to use. We had a problem with the main oven not working but Matt the owner tried his best to sort it out for us. Chatsworth house is within a reasonable travelling distance and we spent a lovely day there exploring both house and gardens - well worth a visit especially if it is a sunny day as the views are amazing.

Fantastic place for a big get together!
If you are planning a stay in the Peaks with friends or family then this luxury farmhouse is a great bet. Off the main road with no other property in sight, you are in splendid isolation but just a few minutes (by car) from the pleasant town of Leek. The accommodation is very well equipped, well-kept and with its wood burner (with wood available) in the large lounge, very cosy!

Luxurious Farmhouse tucked away in easy to access location.
Our family stayed here for a week while touring this area of the country and we loved it. It has the country get-away feeling of being surrounded by nature while being close enough to main roads that it's easy to travel about and also is very convenient drive to Leek for food, drink, and shopping. The house is beautiful yet comfortable, spacious, and had everything we needed. The kitchen and dining area are wonderfully sized for families/groups who want to visit over meals together.
I think you will be very pleased with your stay here!
