Dogs barking; old clothes in cupboard and used sanitary pads
I spent a week at this property and it is one of the most disappointing places I have ever stayed. ? Dogs barked in neighbouring cabins at all hours. 10pm, 11pm, 2am. I tried to contact the owner who offered no support, despite being nearby and could have spoken to owners. ? Dog poo in the yard is a big turn off especially when our little niece and nephew visited. ? Old dress and undies were in the wardrobe when I opened it to put my clothes in. ? Not a decent pillow in the house. I ended up using 4 pillows piled up to make the height of a normal full and new pillow. ? Toiletries in bathroom drawer ? Sanitary pads in bathroom drawer on on further inspection they were used sanitary pads in the bag. ? I contacted the agent Sykes who was sympathetic but they were limited as the owners didn?t respond and it was peak season when I stayed so hard to move elsewhere. ? I have asked Sykes for compensation being 50% refund however despite my many emails, I have not had any response regarding this other than an automated email. Perhaps again the owner is uncontactable. My recommendation ? if you can stay somewhere else ? DO SO!

In love with this place
We have stayed here a few times and recently booked for a week. I never want to leave and last year we booked an extra week! It?s a home from home with everything you need. Pentney Lakes is a beautiful place and we enjoy walking around the lakes. I have family in the area and the lodge gives us the opportunity to enjoy family visits. I would love to live here permanently the owners are lovely people and make us feel very welcome

We have just returned from the lodge on the outskirts of Kings Lynn. The accommodation was perfect for us and our dog loved it just as much. The decor was impressive and the facilities ticked all our boxes. We enjoyed the surrounding nature walks around some lakes and woods. Plenty of space around with a small play park only a hundred metres away or so. Kings Lynn itself was also good with lots of history to explore. About 20 miles away was the busy seaside resort of Hunstanton which although chilly gave a really good day out. Can't wait to return.

Family Holiday!
My parents, boyfriend, brothers, dogs and I all stayed here in April for our family holiday. It is definitely the ideal holiday home and a great place to stay. The lodge is in an ideal location, the lakes surrounding it were amazing for walking the dogs, and the park across the road is great for kids. Kings Lynn is only about 10-15 minutes drive away, too, so you're not too far away from anything but you can definitely relax. The lodge itself is wonderful! It is beautifully decorated and feels really homely. It is fully stocked with crockery and cutlery, as well as many other necessities for a family holiday. The bedrooms are spacious and all have wardrobes, which was a great help! The beds are also really comfy, definitely like a home away from home. The lodge was immaculately clean upon our arrival with plenty of information leaflets for rentals. The owner of the lodge was also friendly enough to come and take the bins out for us on the right day, as well as coming to introduce himself and ask if we had enjoyed our stay. I genuinely cannot fault this lodge and would definitely stay again.

This is such a fantastic lodge. Very homely. We would definitely be returning, it was a holiday to remember.
