Cumbria Self Catering cottage, Geltsdale Garden Apartment, Wetheral, sleeps 4

Unclean apartment. Unprofessional owner.
Booked through Sykes who are being very unhelpful in resolving my complaint. Very unclean apartment throughout with health & safety issues: cracked windowpane, loose wire in lamp, mouldy oven & unclean fridge with confrontational owner who ignored social distancing & had to be asked to leave. The 3 seater sofa needs replacing. It is no exaggeration to say I have also never seen so many spiders & so many massive cobwebs in a home before. The attached photos just a semblance of how bad the place is & I would never stay here again.

lock refund?
Booked this through Sykes. We had to leave because of government guidelines. Lost 2 nights stay. NO refunds. Sykes said we could stay on but what is the point if we are not allowed out of the apartment. Sykes pretty useless . Be wary of booking with Sykes. Anyone else had this problem?

Stately home ambance
Lovely spacious apartment in great surroundings with amazing views,close to a lovely village with great eating p!aces.Handy for buses to Carlisle a great border town.The apartment had every thing that you needed with outside space for eating in the lovely garden of this old interesting house.

Highly recommended
I stayed here in Feb 2018 with my wife. The apartment is spacious, warm, extremely comfortable and tastefully furnished. It is just a short walk to two excellent restaurants, and the very friendly local pub which does excellent meals. If you are looking a self catering property for up to 4 people in the lower Eden valley, this is the place to book.
