Fantastic welcome, fantastic place, fantastic views
We only stayed a few days at the Croft but had a lovely welcome from the owner, Sam. The Croft is warm and cosy, with plenty of logs for the wood burning stove to keep us nice and snug. The Croft is beautifully decorated, with lots of lovely touches that make it stand a cut above the rest. It is well equipped and the amazing views make it the ideal place to sit back and relax or to explore the picturesque villages and lovely walks right from the door. The pub down the road, The Trawden Arms, offers an equally warm welcome and great food. We are looking forward to coming back in the summer.

Heaven in the Yorkshire Dales
My hubby and I are currently staying at The Croft. Wow, where to start... Beautiful stone building with stunning views from the balcony in the bedroom and the patio which has a hot tub positioned perfectly for soaking up the views while relaxing. Inside is decorated to a high standard, gracefully mixing old and new. The wood burning fire is a very welcome touch during these cooler months, in all its very romantic and cosy. I can not get over how well stocked with crockery, utensils and other kitchen gadgets this cottage is, there is absolutely everything we may have needed and possibly more. The there are the extras that we would never have expected, a little milk in the fridge, a loaf in the bread bin, some cereal and jams in the cupboards, tea, coffee and sugar, and much to my hubbys delight a lovely little carrot and walnut cake from the local bakery. Sam, who owns the cottage is such a kind and lovely lady, greeted us as we arrived, gave us a tour and told us some of the cottages history and advised us about places of local interest and some of the best places to dine. The Croft is an absolute gem, treat yourself, you will not regret it.

Wedding anniversary and birthday holiday
My wife Saz and myself have just spent a week at The Croft holiday cottage for our 20th wedding anniversary and my birthday, and what an amazing week it was. We didn?t know exactly what to expect.... but we certainly couldn?t have expected to find such a highly finished, perfectly presented cottage that we found and set in the most beautiful countryside with the best views ever. We were greeted by Sam the owner who was so welcoming and she was really helpful with informing us what was happening in the area over the next week. What an absolutely fantastic holiday cottage. We simply cannot rate this highly enough. The attention to detail and amount of thought that has gone into the finish of the cottage, the furnishings, the tasteful decor etc is incredible, and of an impeccably high standard. From the very thoughtful and tasty welcome pack provided, to the full compliment of utensils in the kitchen (including a slow cooker!), nothing has been omitted. We took advantage of her local knowledge and had some fantastic days out at local events and local attractions. There are some lovely walking routes to take in and the views are to die for. We can not rant, rave or recommend The Croft highly enough. We were devastated that we had to leave and had already booked a return for a weeks holiday next year.... this is a real Gem of a place and we're torn about shouting how great it is.... because we want to keep it to ourselves. Sam and her family are the most welcoming family and I don't think they realise how much of a great place they have. Thank you for such a fantastic holiday experience, and we look forward to returning next year.

Highly Recommended
Just returned from a 3 night weekend stay at The Croft which was thoroughly enjoyed. The cottage is just lovely, immaculately presented and in such a beautiful location. The views from the hot tub and terrace are stunning making it all the easier to sit back and relax watching the world go by. Plenty of things to do and see nearby, and a well stocked games room for rainy day entertainment. We had originally booked for a weekend in February but due to bad weather the cottage was inaccessible. Sam the owner was more than accommodating and moved our booking without any hassle at all. On arrival Sam was more than helpful showing us around the cottage, pointing out the local places of interest and introducing us to the pet sheep! All in all a fabulous place, and one we will definitely be returning to.

Fabulous
My husband and I and our 2 children 7 and 3 had an amazing week at the croft. The cottage is gorgeous, such care and effort has gone into making the cottage look so good. The hot tub was the kids favourite and with the cover over the top the colder weather didnt put them off! Samantha the owner was so friendly and nothing was too much for her, the little extras like the easter treats when we arrived made it even better. The only bad part of the holiday was having to drag the children away from their 'new cottage' when it was time to leave! I would definetly recommend this cottage to anyone.
