Pet friendly accommodation Pet Friendly

Just arrived home after a fabulous week in Padstow staying at The Wearne Cottage. We do visit Padstow every year as combine a family holiday with visiting relatives who live locally and this was the perfect base. The cottage is situated in the town centre with only a few minutes walk to all local amenities, including the local spa shop. It is also only a few minutes from Prideaux place which is also definitely worth a visit. We found the cottage to be very well equipped and just the right size for the five of us and our little dog. Instructions in the cottage were very clear including how to use the oven and access the WiFi. The small yard was perfect for washing boots and for the dog . Although sometimes when we visit Padstow we do travel round the surrounding area (Newquay, Truro etc) this time we parked up above town once we had unpacked and didn?t return to the car till we left after the week- there is always so much to do and do many lovely walks, the camel trail being one of our favourites for family walks or an early morning run! Overall a fab week, thank you Wearne Cottage, our only wish list for next year would be to access a vacuum cleaner or sweeping brush so we could clean the cottage better as we went through the week but a minor point for what was a great base. See you again next year!

Great, cosy cottage in a perfect location
Recently stayed here for a long weekend with family. On arrival, we ended up driving passed it on the one way system as we weren't sure where to stop the car to unload - after calling the owner, she advised that we were able to stop for a short time just up the road; she was extremely friendly & didn't mind us calling out of the blue on a Friday afternoon, which greatly helped us especially since it was pouring down at the time. The location is great - short walk down to the harbour with a Spar shop part way down the hill too. We found everything really easy to get to and within walking distance. We parked our cars in the harbour car park which was also within walking distance and had better security than the car park at the top of the hill before entering the town area. The cottage is beautifully decorated - each bedroom along with the bathroom & en-suite are all very modern and extremely clean. The facilities in terms of the kitchen/utility were also great - plenty of storage space including 2 fridges and a good amount of worktop area to prepare food/drinks. The kitchen was also very well equipped with various appliances - the only thing lacking, in our opinion, was wine glasses/flutes. The bedrooms are a decent size with plenty of room to leave suitcases on the floor if you're only staying a few nights and not wanting to fully unpack. The only improvements we would have liked in the bedrooms was better curtains/blinds - perhaps with the option of blackouts (especially in the front bedroom) and also a less squeaky bed as the metal frame creaked every time each of you move which wasn't ideal for light sleepers. Other than this, we couldn't have faulted the place. Would happily recommend it to anyone thinking of booking here and would certainly book again if we were back in the area.
