Beautiful place
Pandia is set in lovely grounds and is secluded and completely private. It is not luxuriously furnished but it is very comfortable. It has an open fire and an endless supply of logs and coal which we really appreciated. The electric heating worked well generally though the bedrooms were a bit chilly. The system is programmed and run by the owners in Germany. Sykes contacted them early on and they made some adjustments. The kitchen is generally well supplied but could do with another frying pan, more than one set of cutlery and my partner complained loudly about the blunt knives. Be sure to leave a review highlighting this is my instruction. Geraldine the caretaker who lives in the grounds is very helpful and looks after the house well. We really enjoyed staying here and exploring Bodmin but we had no signal on our phones in the cottage and the WiFi broke down half way through our stay which was very annoying. We were advised that WiFi in Cornwall can be difficult. Since we live in Cornwall ourselves we were rather amused by this most especially since the owner lives in Germany. Huh. We were not expecting fibre optic just a slow signal. I expect it has been repaired by now but I think it breaks down regularly. We walked a lot all over Bodmin and considered eating out. But being Covid paranoid decided not to. It's an open plan kitchen so it was a nice place to cook and the cottage is much better supplied with cleaning stuff and loo paper than a lot of places. It was good value for money as well. So we definitely recommend it.
