Second time not good
We chose to return for a second visit after having a lovely stay last year, however we ended up only staying 2 nights, on arrival quite late we needed to use the toilet only to find that the bowl was stained and in need of cleaning with bleach , then we went to use some dishes but had to clean these first. Yes it's in the countryside but to find it infested with spiders and waking up the next morning to se slug trails on the lounge carpet was to say the least not welcome. We left the following morning, on contacting Sykes they have not been helpful nor will they publish our review and to top it off they want a review of how they dealt with it!!!! I don't think we will be doing that. Avoid this one unless you don't mind paying for the privilege of greasy dirty plates and having to clean a toilet before use and sharing your property with creepy crawly's. long and short of it we won?t ever use Sykes Cottage ever again after years of booking with them.
