Disappointed
It goes without saying the interior of this property is beautiful. Tastefully decorated and welcoming. Especially liked the little touch of wine, biscuits and milk on arrival. However, for us, sadly this is where it ends. Unfortunately Your view from this property is of neighbouring house (brick walls, barn style doors) less than ten meters from the edge of the shared courtyard. Thus creating a claustrophobic feel. The hot tub is situated at the front of the property on the shared courtyard, again, directly facing a brick wall, adjacent to a through road for neighbouring properties and the sounds of the noisy A75. Certainly not the setting for a private dip in the hot tub. The lovely views that are shown on the proprietors photographs were for us little misleading. You can see this view but not from the cottage it is via a farmers field which is inaccessible. Unfortunately we didn?t stay at the cottage, as this wasn?t somewhere we wanted to spend a relaxing few days, due to the lack of privacy and the location of the cottage.(Which is directly off the A75.) If you wanted to use this as a base for the surrounding areas then perhaps this would be for you. However on this occasion we will not be recommending a stay here.
