The perfect retreat in a beautiful setting
We have just returned from a wonderful few days in the windmill and all I can say is WOW! I didn't want to come home. It has all the amenities you need including a fully equipped kitchen, ground floor WC, a generous sized lounge, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the top floor with impressive views to all sides and to add to this it is situated in beautiful grounds. We loved the early evening stroll around the property in the sunshine and then finished the evening off with a glass of wine watching the sun set. The windmill is located about a mile from the lovely village of Barrowden, complete with the village pub on the green opposite the impressive duck pond. The locals are friendly and we also visited to community shop which stocked everything you could possibly need. Well worth a visit!!

Excellent
Spent a peaceful week in the windmill getting away from it all. Lots of walking and fresh air; even snowed over night. Went to Stamford and Rutland Water. Great biking countryside. Very comfortable accommodation. We definitely be back!
