Nice but not "deluxe".
A nice cottage but not "deluxe" unfortunately. No welcome pack at all, not even a pint of milk which we would have expected from a "deluxe" apartment. Noisy plumbing with loud intermittent rumblings, unidentified low level "hum" that persisted through the night, nowhere to dry wet clothes, cheap fold away table and chairs for dining that we had to assemble ourselves - definitely not "deluxe". No coffee table on which to place glasses and/or cups when relaxing in the evening, only one insubstantial foldaway ocassional table next to giant sofa. In spite of these shortcomings we did enjoy our stay at 1 Riverside but we feel it's a bit of a stretch to call it a "deluxe" or "luxury" (booking agent's descriotion) apartment.

Idyllic location
My partner, and myself stayed here in january, absolutely spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated. It has a lovely living area, very spacious, with an area for dining too.A modern bathroom, nicely tiled, There are two nice sized bedrooms with a TV in the main one, and lovely bedroom furniture. This flat is in a beautiful location, right on the river, with views of the castle ruins which are lit up on An evening.!! The market town Barnard castle is a 10 minute walk, with some quirky shops, and lovely coffee shops. There were so many places to visit around the area. And the Lake District is not too far away. Can?t wait to come back again. Simply perfect

Just lovely
We stayed at this property for 2 nights beginning of December and would definitely recommend it. The property is immaculate and has everything you would need. We stayed in the back room of the apartment and the view of the river and castle are beautiful. The whole apartment is very cosy but spacious. More than enough room for 4 people. It is within walking distance (maybe 10mins) if that to the centre of the town. While there isn?t parking at the property it wasn?t a problem as if you drive a little further you can park on the road. We would definitely love to come back

Birthday weekend
Spent 3 nights on rememberace weekend for hubbys birthday. Our dog sally loved it too...we were welcomed by Angie on arrival. The apartment was beautifully furnished and spotless. Beautiful walks all around. We will definitely be recommending this to friends and hope to come back..thank you for everthing

Stunning apartment. Perfect location.
Just returned from a 7 night stay at this apartment and we are so impressed! Family of 4 and the dog and we all agreed this place is beautiful, a real home from home. On arrival we were made very welcome by Ang who was only a call away if we needed anything. The place was spotless, with all mod cons and a very well equipped kitchen. The apartment is in the most perfect and peaceful location looking over the river and the castle, and just a few minutes walk into the lovely town centre and lots of fabulous riverside and woodland walks. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone
