A fantastic Xmas
We picked this little cottage based on location and price and it didn?t disappoint. We arrived out of the freezing temperatures to a warm little living space which was cosy and spotless, we had a little welcome pack which contained wine, eggs, bread and a few other treats. we quickly realised we had made the perfect choice of cottage when we continued upstairs and had a look out of the back window and saw a great view of the canal and hillside.
The cottage is modern inside while keeping all of the quirky elements which make this the old property it is.
Hebden Bridge is approx a 30 minute walk up the canal and is a lovely little town,
I would not hesitate in recommending or staying in this little cottage again we are having a brilliant Xmas.

Nice, cosy, compact and comfortable cottage
Well-equipped, clean and smart cottage with a modern bathroom with a view of the canal and hillside. The welcome pack was very generous and much appreciated. The WiFi worked well, never dropping the connection and the TV had plenty of channels to choose from. It's a pity that the lounge and main bedroom face the road; we were somewhat aware of traffic noise, especially cars and motorbikes speeding at night.
Parking and manoeuvring space is rather restricted due to other residents' cars but, as we never used ours, it wasn't an issue. The location by the canal was pleasant and we did long walks along the quiet tow path in both directions a few times.
We had lovely lunches at The Stubbing Wharf in Hebden Bridge and At The Weavers, an Italian restaurant in Luddendenfoot, which is an easy walk along the tow path. St Michael's Church in the town centre was beautifully decorated and we were made very welcome. The station is a 10 minute walk away and off-peak fares to Halifax and Leeds were very reasonable.

Hawksclough cottage
Fantastic little cottage, ideally situated for getting out and about. The owners have made it so welcoming and homely. The eggs, bread butter, milk and other bits and pieces were a nice surprise. I would definitely recommend this little gem.
