Gamekeeper's Lodge is a romantic luxury cottage for four in South Raynham, just a 20-minute drive from the beautiful North Norfolk coast. There are wonderful walks right from the doorstep, a number of village inns close by and lots of history to explore, including Sandringham and Holkham Hall.

The Norfolk flint exterior gives this Grade II listed property a fairytale appearance, with a pretty wrap-around garden to boot. Inside, you'll find Farrow and Ball walls in muted greys, lavenders and greens, along with many original features, including wooden shutters, Norfolk pamment stone floors and stripped floorboards. Yet there are some very modern touches too.

The overall effect is 18th century styling, with contemporary comforts throughout, including a wood burning stove, 55" flat screen television and an Alexa in the living room, as well as a SMEG fridge freezer in the well-appointed kitchen. The bathrooms are equally indulgent, with roll-top baths, while the beds have 2000 sprung mattresses and 800 thread count linens. Please note, there is restricted head height in the second bedroom and bathroom.

On winter nights, simply light the wood burning stove and snuggle down in front of the fire to plan your next day's agenda. Or on sunny mornings, there's nothing better than taking a scenic walk along the river Wensum before heading to the Dabbling Duck in Great Massingham for lunch.
