It is an ideal location for an outdoor break as the area is exceptional for walking, riding and the unspoilt countryside. The village's poetic history is well documented, being a former home of Samuel Taylor Coleridge where he wrote the famous Kubla Kahn and The Rime of The Ancient Marina.
