Beautifull cottage retreat
This beautifull cottage is the ideal place to come and relax. Situated just a short drive to the town of harleston. The cottage is stunning both inside & out full of character. On arrival the owners had left a bottle of wine & box of chocolates which is a lovely touch , the hot tub was lovely perfect with a glass of wine looking onto the large garden .There are many places to visit for days out either having a day at the beach or watching the boats pass you by on the broads .

Long weekend
I stayed at this beautiful thatched house. The attention to detail from the Owners is outstanding. I travel for work so spend a lot of time in lovely hotels but this cottage far exceeded the standards of the most Boutique hotels I?ve ever stayed in: Wine and chocolates, fresh milk in the fridge, lovely quality bed linen, beautiful pillows, large soft, fluffy towels, bottles of mineral water next to the beds, roll top bath (This is the biggest roll top bath I?ve ever been in). My friends had bedroom two which overlooks the rear garden. Again, a beautiful room which reminded us of a bedroom from Hever Castle in Kent : Decorated in a warm, golden Tudor yellow with an en-suite shower room. The haberdashery throughout this property is lovely. We took our 2 dogs with us for this stay: Lovely countryside walks close to the house. We saw Muntjac, hares, pheasants as well as many birds which we don't get to see on the South Coast. We all agreed this cottage is worthy to be in 25 Most beautiful homes. We're going back later in 2020 as we had such a relaxing break.

Wow, when can we move in!
The cottage was certainly home from home, and more! This beautiful thatched property is delightful, set in wonderful countryside it's the perfect place to get lost for a week or two. As soon as you step inside you're greeted by a large Aga oven and all the mod cons needed in the kitchen. We loved the fact you could close the rest of the house off and remain in the tiled kitchen area, especially if it's been raining and have the warmth of the Aga to warm you up. The property is tastefully decorated and everything you would imagine a traditional thatched property to be. There are some beautiful walks in the area and shops just a short car ride away, including pubs, takeaways etc. We didn?t use the hot tub, but plenty of lovely garden space and a nice little garden room - perfect for reading a book, drinking tea and chilling out. Overall we loved this place and would highly recommend.

Mid Week Birthday break
My husband and I booked the cottage for a mid week break for my birthday. On arrival we were super impressed with the picture postcard cottage. Absolutely stunning. We were surrounded by beautiful countryside just what we needed after escaping the city... the cottage is really breathtaking externally and internally. Everything was spotless, beautiful furnishings, my little Maltese dog was also made to feel at home with a little bed and bowl such a lovely touch. We were also greeted with some lovely welcome gifts of wine and chocolates which was wonderful. A welcome Manuel also provides you with local knowledge which was so helpful and knowing the hosts are a phone call away was a nice touch. The house has everything and more that you would need and if you have forgotten something the hosts have defiantly covered everything. Bottles of water beside the beds. Just the little touches really make you feel so welcome. So much care and thought has gone into this property, the master bedroom is huge with stunning views of the countryside and the biggest free standing bath I?ve ever seen in the bedroom. Just wonderful in every way.. I had the most relaxing time and honestly could have stayed another week... the second double bedroom is beautiful with its own en-suite again so much care and attention to detail nothing has been spared in making this one of the most luxurious listed properties I ever stayed in. The Garden is huge with lots of beautiful flowers and the most amazing cherry tree. the Hot Tub was such a welcome treat after our days of exploring the surrounding countryside. We were recommended by the hosts to go for a dinner at the fox and Goose in Fressingfield, again this was a great recommendation, wonderful dinner... Overall Waveney Cottage is perfect in every way I can?t fault it... I will certainly be booking again... a little treasure in Suffolk

Beautiful cottage
waveney cottage, We pulled and that the pictures didn't do it justice. The garden was massive. We spent alot of time out their it was peaceful. Had a few cars go past and that was it. In the night you could hear a pin drop it was that quite. The house was well looked after. The house was done up to a high standard. They texted before we got there welcoming up. They had wine and chocolates on the table. They had two big dogs beds and a bowl for the dogs. They had water by the beds. They take alot of time in getting the house ready. It was spotless. It was truly beautiful. The garden was massive. We spent alot of time in the garden. Which is very well looked after and kept up to high standards the hot tub was definitely a bonus. The bedrooms were both a lovely size. They were set up so nicely. The main bedroom was massive which a bed of dreams it was so big. We loved watching movies in there. The free standing bath in the room was such a lovely way to send your day. We really didn't want to come home. Definitely would come back in a heartbeat. Definitely got the holiday blues.
