Great welcome and service
My wife and I came here with our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter (6yrs). Accommodation excellent, house extremely well equipped and service level exemplary. Additional touches such as welcome hamper for ourselves as well as the child, but also one for our dog! along with lovely Christmas tree and tasteful decorations throughout made our arrival most enjoyable. A Christmas gift awaited our little one under the tree along with a birthday present as she turned 6 on Boxing day. Wonderful attention to detail which we found delightful.
The location of this rental is excellent for exploring the surrounding countryside on foot and excursions by car further afield will be rewarded as Co.Durham is a beautiful part of the world. As our stay was only 5 days, we have booked a week in May next year.

Fantastic weekend away!
Cannot recommend Roseville cottage enough what a lovely stay we have had. We booked to stay at the cottage for a family weekend away for the festive period and was not disappointed. On arrival we were greeted by a beautiful welcome hamper and festive decorations in the living room to give a warm cosy atmosphere! The owners could not do enough to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable as well as providing a travel cot for our 4 month old daughter. The small details were such a lovely touch. The fields that surround the cottage provided lovely scenery especially on the frosty mornings. We have had a fantastic time and would urge anyone to book a stay in this cosy cottage thats filled with character and quirky features. Highly recommended!

Us
A lovely cottage, very well thought out. The cottage is all on one level ideal for little ones. Jayne even left out some toys which our little girl loved. It's very cosy and a home from home, well stocked with everything you need for a self catering holiday. Very clean and tidy with plenty of fresh clean towels.
The views out of the back of the cottage are of rolling fields with a gate for access to the fields for walking/dog walking.
Great little welcome packages too including bread, butter, milk, juice, wine & the very delicious local Cotherstone cheese. Even our dog & 2 year old received little welcome packs, a nice touch. Highchair & travel cot are available on request.
The village itself has 2 nice pubs, The Fox & Hounds does nice food & The Red Lion is good for a pint or two. The village is picturesque and a great location for exploring local area. A great stay, we will be back, thanks Jayne for making us feel so welcome.
