Perfect New Year Setting
Set wonderfully amongst the edge of the Lake District/Yorkshire Dales (very Heathcliff) and within easy reach of Sedbergh and Kirkby Stephen, or Kendal if you want something bigger, Street Farm has spectacular views and plenty of wildlife. The properties are beautifully presented and equipped, plenty of space for our 16 guests and doggies. We didn't have horses, but how great to find a property where they would be welcome. The house was warm and comfortable, the hot tub greatly enjoyed by the family and the wonderful cooking/dining space was the heart of our visit. The owners, Colin and Alison, were there to greet us and provide a familiarisation with the rooms. They were extremely helpful, pleasant and kind and I have no hesitation in recommending Street Farm to all.

Lovely house, disappointed in the rude hosts
We stayed at street farm in June 2018. The house was lovely and well equipped. There was some outdoor space allocated to our accommodation however this was in a car park/yard area and would have benefited from some TLC. It was a beautiful evening and we were able to sit out and watch the sunset against the beautiful view. Unfortunately we then decided to use the hot tub after being told it would be left open for us, only to find it was locked. We visited the owners thinking that it had been locked by mistake. The owners rudely and abruptly told us it could not be reopened after 9:30pm due to ?health and safety? and that we should ?go away?. Their manner was extremely rude and made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable for the remainder of the weekend. I have no doubt that certain rules must be upheld to maintain the safety of all guests although I am not sure how much more dangerous it is to use a hot tub at 9.45 rather than 9:30 pm. But most disappointing was the rudeness with which we were approached. This is a beautiful part of the world and the views are undoubtedly breathtaking. But I would choose to use one of the other cottages in the area if I were to visit again in the future.

Fantastic facilities. Brilliant accommodation. Knowledgable management. Routes very well explained. We took our own horses and the management of stables and fields were very very good. Booked again for next year
