Mixed feelings
Very comfortable and well equipped and great welcome pack and Netflix on TV. Also a very good base to explore. but less than a week to go you get the key code and in this e mail you're told not to let your dog poo in the dog friendly enclosed garden as it can smell even when picking up this upset us a little as we would not of booked it had this been in the info at the start it should be. The only other problem was not that well cleaned in kitchen dog hairs and washing machine full of black goo and hair I cleaned it out so we could use it and cleaned the sticky mess off the tea and coffee jars on the first day we did have a great time but was a little bit surprised by this as all the other reviews were so good

Lovely, cosy and modern. Will definitely be back!
Booked this cottage to stay with my fianc? for his birthday and we had the most lovely week! We've stayed in staithes before although we usually stay at the bottom end but this time we decided to go at the top of the hill. The cottage is so well presented and cosy and the smell of fish and chips from over the road is immense. We also thought that having the Netflix accounts etc on the telly was a nice touch for the night times. The welcome basket was such a surprise and so well presented, and it made it feel homely from the second we walked in. There's plenty to do especially if you have a car as we went to Scarborough and Whitby. Thank you for letting us stay here, we were gutted to leave but will definitely be back again soon.

home from home, and even better
so we booked Benjamin's cottage for a weekend, with my two boys, one 2 years and the other 7 weeks! with the husband and mother in law. on arrival the cottage presented warm and welcoming with he heating and lamps on. we were quick to see the beautiful hamper filled with yummmy surprises which was totally unexpected and such a delight. the cottage is really home from home in fact better, the cottage was very clean and well maintained and had such a homely feel to it. the bedrooms are a great size, with lots of space for travel cot (provided). and Moses a basket, and all presented very relaxing. staiths is a beautiful place to visit, and we enjoyed many little walks around the harbour, and a beautiful meal at the cod and lobster. to then return to the cottage and chill with an excellent choice of t.v. programmes with access to both Amazon and Netflixs, which is great when your in early with little ones. the garden is small/court yard style and is enclosed and is safe which is great for the pooch and my little one to play in, with a table and chairs to enjoy a cuppa. it's clear to see the owner Mel has thought of everything to make your stay perfect and so relaxing, from the outside space, to an easy to use cooker and oven, beautiful toiletries in a fabulous bathroom, information about the local area, hair dryer, Wi-Fi, and tv Amazon/netflix, and beautiful and comfortable furniture and beds there is nothing I could say to add to make it better, we all loved our stay and will certainly be going back. truly a cottage that is cared for and managed so well.10/10.

A lovely start to the new year
We stayed at Benjamin's Cottage at the beginning of January... what a lovely way to unwind after a busy Christmas! The cottage itself is lovely and cosy, equipped with a log burner and blankets to snuggle up in after coming in from the cold weather. Benjamin's Cottage has all of the necessities you could need to make meals, as well as little extras such as a welcome basket (we loved the wine and other goodies that we found in there). The cottage was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely recommend a stay at Benjamin's Cottage and hope to return soon.

Gorgeous Getaway
We stayed at Benjamin's Cottage a couple of months ago and were so impressed by everything about it. The cottage itself is finished to a very high standard. There has clearly been a lot of time and effort put into recently decorating and furnishing it. The decor has a real cosy feel to it, making it a real ?home away from home?. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to make a couple of meals. The bathroom also has several toiletries to use, including a lovely smelling shampoo and conditioner. Upon arrival, the owners left a gorgeous little welcome basket with coffee, wine, fudge and other delicious goodies! This was a lovely surprise and a little treat for the evening. It was cleaned to a very high standard which is one of the first things I notice when staying somewhere. The beds were very comfortable so we both had good nights sleep. Nearby, there is a fish and chip shop and a shop which is great to pop to for a pint of milk. A short walk (down a big hill) are a couple of lovely pubs and the sea front. So overall, a perfect location! It is clear that a lot of time has been put into creating and maintaining the cottage so I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
