spiral staircase to river view
Nesden house is a beutiful property once you are inside it! It is accessed from North Road which runs steeply up to the rear of the property. There is no parking near the property, despite being told there was, double yellow lines are abundant, and a sign tells you that you have 1 hour to stay, which if you can find a space, is just enough time to unload. before having to move it elsewhere . As the house itself is accessed via a steep narrow metal spiral staircase approximately 12 feet high and 3 foot wide , we found it very difficult to negotiate taking our luggage down to the house and subsequently coming and going back each day . Parking was by way of a public car park 500 yards away down hill, at approximately £6:00 a night if you timed it well. Once in the location is amazing , with panoramic vistas of the river and we spent each morning on the patio area eating breakfast watching the boats coming in and going out, there is a table and chairs set up , Not in the pictures provided. . Looe itself is an amazing place to visit with its restauants and many cafe bars and shops . The house was clean and very tidy with enough bathrooms , showers for our needs, the facilities were more than is usually found in rental houses . If you are young and fit Nesden house is for you . we are in our sixties so the spiral staircase was a bit of a step in the wrong direction, so to speak! . All in all we enjoyed our stay in looe , it is an ideal base for travelling around, Port isac, the Eden project ect . but would have to decline Nesden house for maybe something more accessable for our needs
