Wouldn?t recommend
On the plus side the location is pleasant with a nice view from the lounge. The back yard is small but the photos on the website show this. The bathroom and kitchen are small but adequate for a short break. The place is very noisy. The owners live upstairs and they have the tv on so loud you can tell what they?re watching. They rowed a lot, shouting and swearing at each other which upset my mum who has Alzheimer's. The fan on the fire is so loud you can?t hear the tv and the boiler is so noisy you can?t sleep. The tv in the lounge next to the bedroom turns itself on in the middle of the night. There's a tarpaulin over a bike under the main bedroom window that flaps like a sail all night. They were digging the road up outside the flat and it was chaos. I think I should?ve been told. When I complained, the owners said my grandson and dog were noisy. They were only there 1 full day and it poured with rain so I question both the truth of that and the legitimacy of mentioning it? Sykes handled my complaint badly. I was a loyal customer but I would never use them again. Ever.

Great Location
The flat was a great base to explore Scarborough and outskirts north and south. There were pubs , cafes and local supermarket all with in walking distance, and a great river side walk for my dog (although a little muddy due to the recent rain). The road is nice and quiet with lovely views across the fields. The property it's self was very clean and tidy with a notice board with need to know info. Very important during this troubling time(covid 19). The kitchen is new but badly laid out and quite small. When there is 2 of you in it, it feels crowed. There's also too much furniture in the main bedroom as we struggled to move around the bed. We didnt sleep well as there was a waterproof mattress protector that couldn't be removed, which made the bed too hot and noisy. We did try leaving the door open to cool the room but as the boiler is located in a cupboard in the hall way and it was quite noisy. The bathroom is also badly laid out as the bath and separate slower were VERY small. ( I've been in bigger caravan showers.) The up stair neighbours could be heard moving around due to squeaky floor boards and I suspect they may be slightly deaf as their TV was very load (even when we had ours TV on). Overall it's a great location just disappointing with the functionality of the flat.
