Alma and Brian would like to invite you to spend some time at their contemporary home that has been lovingly refurbished as a luxury bed and breakfast. "The Cricketers" has a long history of hospitality and was built in 1880 on the edge of Windsor Royal Forest. Initially the property had five bedrooms and was a 19th century coaching inn selling Burton beers from Ind Coope.
It also incorporated a butchery and in 1888 supplied meat to Osborne House, Queen Victoria's residence on the Isle of Wight. In the 20th century the property was divided into private residential and a butchers shop. In 1988 Brian purchased the property and the former Butchers shop became the Hop Inn one of the finest independent off-licences in Britain stocking a large range of local real ales wines spirits and home brewing supplies.
