Welcome to the Black Bull Hotel in Kirkby Stephen where a warm reception awaits you from your hosts John and Denise Alexander. This friendly family run pub and hotel offers year-round bed and breakfast accommodation restaurant and bar meals and a well stocked bar with traditional cask ales and wines from around the world.

The Black Bull has a spacious bar area with informal seating stools at the bar and plenty of standing room for busier nights! The enclosed beer garden to the rear of the pub contains several unusual tables and is very popular on sunny afternoons. During the winter we have an open fire; very welcoming when returning from a wet windy walk! With provision for children secure storage for cycles a packed lunch making service and dogs permitted when accompanied by well behaved owners we try to offer something for everyone! Accommodation at the Black Bull comprises nine en suite bedrooms: five doubles three twins and one single. Single occupancy of double or twin rooms is possible when the single room is not available and two of the double rooms can be adapted as family rooms.

Fold out beds for children and travel cots are available on request. Each room has both bath and shower. A hearty Cumbrian breakfast is included in the tariff and evening meals are available in the bar and restaurant until 9 pm every night.
