This 18th century building built by the Nightingale family is reputed to be the site of Florence Nightingale's first hospice.

Real ale plays an important role in any good country Inn and the Jug and Glass is no exception. There are regular ales on draught along with additional guest ales but if that is not your tipple of choice we also offer wide selection of wines ciders soft drinks and spirits including our scotch corner. The Jug and Glass boasts a separate restaurant and is the perfect place to enjoy a range of classic grills and inspired home-made dishes.

The chef has many years experience and brings his skill and passion to the menu which ensures you will never leave hungry. Offering a full menu 7 days a week. The Jug and Glass Inn has a large car park and is a suitable venue to host groups in the restaurant or in one of the three bar areas.
