Built in the 1800's Westgate Manor has recently been renovated to an exceptional high standard. Standing in its own grounds surrounded by beautiful views of rolling hills grazing sheep and hillside Dales cottages. A friendly comfortable large home set in a quiet location only a five minute stroll from the village pub. The Manor has many period features and furnishings and uses local sourced quality produce. Westgate Manor offers you a warm & friendly welcome whether you are cycling the C2C walking the local fells or just passing through.

If you are travelling and wish to stay with us we offer quality bed & breakfast and service. Our Victorian Manor House has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard and is set in the heart of Weardale and the Durham Dales an unspoilt paradise. It is the ideal luxury retreat to enjoy it all from either as a base or a tranquil stopping off point on your journey.

We created the accommodation for those looking for that perfect relaxing break. Fine wines spirits & local beers available. Rooms are large and beautifully furnished with antique pieces of furniture including four poster bed or Half tester bed mattress toppers en-suite with roll top bath and separate shower underfloor heating and heated towel rails.

Tea and coffee making facilities. This elegant 19th Century Manor is the perfect setting if you like morning coffee a bite to eat at lunch time afternoon tea or an evening meal (pre booked) in our licensed library/Dining room furnished with original floor to ceiling Victorian bookcases original fire place and log burner for those chilly nights. Guests can relax in our residents lounge with comfy sofas high ceilings original fireplace with large cosy log burner huge windows enable you to see beautiful surrounding hillsides grazing sheep strolling pheasants and nearby St Andrews church with its marvellous spire.

If celebrating a special occasion we can arrange for those little extras to make your stay memorable. Prince Bishops' Hunting Lodge and nearby Slit Wood is a site of Special Scientific Interest with its many waterfalls. Fibre broadband and daily housekeeping.
