Welcome to our newly refurbished guest house & pub which was originally opened in 1733. We are family friendly & situated in a great position just 10 minutes walk from the historic town centre of Colchester.

Our guests can enjoy a relaxing drink in front of the open fire & then venture into town where there are numerous restaurants and bars to choose from. Our friendly staff are happy to advise & answer any questions about the local area. Special offers are sometimes available for stays of more than 1 night please contact us for details.

We have regular entertainment in the bar on a weekend please call if you have any queries. We are situated approximately 35 miles from Stansted airport & 50 miles from London. We are Britain's oldest recorded town & boast many historic buildings countryside & coastline.

There are plenty of places to visit with the children too including Colchester Zoo which is one of Europe's finest.
