The Red Lion Hotel is an historical Grade 1 listed building (1465) located in the town centre of historic Colchester. The hotel is one of the oldest inns in East Anglia and has been described as a fine example of Tudor England.The hotel is located in the town centre and has excellent transport links to the M11, M25, Stansted Airport, Cambridge and Harwich. There are numerous shops nearby including well known chain stores and smaller, boutique-style shops.

The old Banqueting Hall, which is now the Parliament Restaurant, has a remarkable beamed ceiling. Please note that there is no car park attached to the hotel and the NCP car park is 5 minutes walk away. Parking in the NCP is £8.50 overnight and is to be paid directly at the NCP car park. We suggest that you stop in the loading area and off load your baggage into the hotel before parking.
