The extensive facilities at Sopwell House include 128 bedrooms suites and apartments - equipped with TVs complete with Sky air conditioning ESPA toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities - two restaurants and two bars a spa offering some of the finest health and leisure facilities in the area as well as the impressive meetings and events facilities - 19 unique and flexible suites which can be tailored to your exact requirements.

Complimentary on-site parking for over 300 cars is available as well as complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel. You have the choice of two restaurants when you stay at Sopwell House The AA Rosette winning Restaurant serving British and European signature dishes or the more informal Brasserie with its open plan kitchen serving classic dishes alongside daily specials inspired by cuisines from all over the world. There are also two bars to choose from the Cocktail Lounge and the Conservatory Bar both open all day and serving teas and coffees alongside the alcoholic beverages as well as light meals and a range of delicious snacks.

The hotel is an ideal base for those that like to walk not only is the hotel set in 12 acres of peaceful grounds the rest of the Hertfordshire countryside is on your doorstep too. There are plenty of things to do in St Albans as well from a visit to St Albans Cathedral or Gorhambury house or just a mooch around St Albans city centre to enjoy all the small independent shops amongst the high street stores along with a fantastic range of places to eat and drink. If you want to go any further afield London is 20 minutes away by train from St Albans Abbey train station (a 5 minute drive from the hotel).

Our leisure facilities are available for use from 3.00pm on the day of arrival until 11.00 am on the day of departure. We offer a Children s Swim time from 8 am until 10 am on a daily basis. Outside these times our Spa facilities are only accessible for adults.
