The Crown Hotel is a family run 17th Century Coaching Inn at the heart of the Exmoor National Park. The Crown Hotel provides luxury accommodation, 3 AA Stars with exceptional food. The Crown's cosy country bar is available for informal dining, or for something special there is the romantic award winning restaurant.

The patio and terrace garden provide a lovely setting for outside eating and drinking. The Crown Hotel is the ideal place for exploring Exmoor and all its surrounding beauty.

The warmest of welcomes awaits everyone who steps over the threshold of this renowned 17th Century family run Coaching Inn. We are situated amongst 3 acres of gardens in the centre of Exford, one of Exmoor's prettiest villages, surrounded by stunning countryside where Exmoor ponies, red deer and birds of prey roam free. The elegant award winning restaurant has a traditional feel yet with a modern twist and has an intimate and relaxed atmosphere.

It has a reputation both locally and nationally. The cosy country bar provides diners with more informal dining, serving hearty home cooked meals alongside real ales and local tales! All our meat and fresh fish are locally sourced with organic and free range being a main priority when sourcing our goods. Not forgetting our fine wine list with wines chosen to compliment our dishes and excite the palate.

Guest comfort is a main priority at The Crown. We aim to make your stay as relaxed and enjoyable as possible. The unique friendly atmosphere ensures you feel part of the family.

Our rooms are all individually styled and tastefully decorated with modern amenities; all are ensuite. The lounge is the ideal place to enjoy a hot buttered crumpet in winter beside the roaring log fire and our gardens in summer are the ideal place to devour one of our delicious cream teas. The Crown Hotel is pet friendly and dogs are more than welcome to bring their well behaved owners! We also have stables available for those who wish to explore Exmoor on horseback.

For that special reunion, birthday, anniversary or intimate wedding The Crown Hotel is available for hire. Situated at the heart of the Exmoor National Park, we are ideally placed for taking advantage of the wonderful coutryside and coastline of Exmoor. Activities on Exmoor include cycling, walking, fishing, horse riding and trekking, shooting, hunting and wildlife watching.
