The cricket ground is used by Yorkshire and various touring international & county teams. Alan Ayckbourn the world famous play writer lives in Scarborough all of his plays are shown first in the equally famous "Stephen Joseph Theatre" which is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel quite often these plays will then move on to Broadway. Robert & Joanna have been at The Cavendish for 6 years after moving from Cambridge where they lived for the past 20 years.
Robert is a qualified chef and has also managed the catering for a variety of establishments as well as two of the Cambridge University Colleges he is returning to his roots as he was brought up in Scarborough Joanna has worked in customer services and recently qualified as an accountant she originally comes from Huddersfield.
