Built as two private houses in the middle of the 19th Century and backing on to one of the prettiest squares in York the two listed buildings have been lovingly restored to retain the ambience of a private home and provide peaceful elegant rooms where the pressures of the day can be eased away.
When you arrive you ring the front door bell sign in and are handed your bedroom and front door key. After that the house is yours to come and go as you please. At Holmwood House all the rooms are different both in decoration and size and all have their own bathroom or shower room.
