A likeness of the Siamese twins known as the Biddenden Maids, 12th century natives of Biddenden. The Maids bequeathed 18 acres of land, with the proviso that the income from the land be used to provide an annual gift of bread and cheese to the poor of the parish. This 'Biddenden Dole' is still given out each year.
