Croyland Abbey Photo, The Medieval Abbey Chest

This ancient chest is located in the Lady Chapel, on the north side of the nave. The chest is 15th century, with the addition of 3 large Victorian locks. The chest once held the church plate, civil documents, and parish records dating to 1639. These are now held in the Lincolnshire county archives.
