Carfraemill sits in gorgeous Scottish Borders landscapes 5 miles north of Lauder and just 30 minutes from Edinburgh. Our beautiful individually styled bedrooms are modern yet cosy. Each of our 10 rooms rooms has free Wi-Fi a flat-screen TV tea and coffee-making facilities a little tin of Carfraemill shortbread and an immaculate enquite bath or shower room.

You can be sure of great food when you stay at Carfraemill. We work with local suppliers to create honest and simple dishes using the very best of ingredients. A Scottish breakfast including porridge smoked salmon kippers and haddock is included in most of our room rates (please check).

We are a family-friendly and baby-friendly hotel. Cots and extra fold down beds are available if needed and we provide a special children s menu for little eaters in our restaurant. Local activities include country walks foodie tours fishing shooting and golf and staff can provide information on local amenities.

Nearby border towns including Kelso Selkirk and Melrose can be reached in 20-35 minutes by car. Edinburgh is 21 miles away.
