IDEALLY LOCATED FOR VISITING THE FAMOUS BRIDGWATER CARNIVAL Set in a peaceful countryside setting yet only 2.5 miles from the town of Bridgwater these newly converted grade II listed semi detached cottages are set in one of the most beautiful parts of Somerset close to the Quantock Hills which offer wonderful walking from leisurely strolls to more challenging walks including the Coleridge Way.
Other attractions within easy reach include Clarks Shopping Village Cheddar Gorge Wookey Hole West Somerset Steam Railway Roman Bath numerous National Trust properties and Cricket St Thomas being just a few. Exmoor is just a short drive away or you can simply relax in your private patio area and enjoy a glass of wine and a BBQ while the children play in the adjoining paddock. Both cottages are newly renovated to an excellent standard and form the wing of a 17th century/medieval Somerset longhouse with a working farm next door.
The 2 cottages can be booked separately or together if a larger party of friends or family wish to holiday together. A garage is available and off-road parking for 2 cars. Bed linen electric and oil-fired central heating included.
Regret no pets and no smoking in the properties. Perfectly located for visiting the Bridgwater Carnival in November (short breaks welcome 3 or 4 nights at 80% of weekly cost). Beaches 15 minutes drive away.

This well presented cottage offers light and airy accommodation set on 3 storeys with a beautiful slate floor on the ground floor and original beams throughout alongside newly fitted modern fixtures and fittings. Hornbeam Cottage offer FOUR bedrooms: on the second floor 1 king-size with en-suite bathroom with electric shower over and WC along with a separate small sitting area with flatscreen TV and DVD ideal for relaxing with a book or a glass of wine. The first floor has 1 double 1 large twin and 1 small twin suitable for 1 adult or 2 children along with a family bathroom with separate walk-in shower cubicle and WC.
On the ground floor you will find a large open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with flatscreen TV. The fully fitted kitchen has an integral electric oven hob dishwasher fridge freezer wine cooler microwave and many useful extras. A washer/dryer is available and a ground floor cloakroom.
Outside you will find a paved patio area with an adjoining lawn and 1 acre paddock where children can play. Arrival 3pm.The other property on site is CHANP also see LIHBR in South Devon which shares the same owner.
