Best pet friendly cottage we have stayed at.
This cottage has everything you need to make a stay comfortable and enjoyable. It is very well equipped, has a very secure garden for our dog and is surrounded by beautiful countryside with lots of lovely walks on the doorstep. The local pub, The Royal George, serves good quality pub food and is so friendly and welcoming to all. The owners of the cottage live in the attached property, they are welcoming and friendly but not intrusive in anyway. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather during our stay and the private garden was perfect to relax in and a great place to watch the bird life. The surrounding villages and towns are all very interesting and well worth a visit but it is very tempting to just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the cottage and the village of Lingen.

A lovely cottage in a very unspoilt countryside
We stayed for two weeks and enjoyed every minute despite rain in the first half. Such a beautiful quiet area with loads of walks both from the cottage and a little further afield. The cottage is very spacious and comfortable and extremely well equipped. We particularly liked the luxurious bathroom with a huge bath in addition to the roomy shower enclosure. Lovely enclosed garden just right for our elderly dog. The pub literally 2 minutes walk away is a (dog) friendly place serving good pub food.

The cottage was very spacious for a 2/3 person property and was also very well equipped. Being part of a 16th century listed building, it was also full of character. The enclosed garden was ideal for our dog as well as for enjoying a glass of wine after one of the numerous walks in the area. The surrounding countryside is very appealing, with rolling hills and quiet lanes. We enjoyed good walks from the cottage as well as on the Offa's Dyke path which is only a short drive away and has gates rather than stiles, making it easier going with the dog. If you enjoy walking and like to get off the beaten track then this is the place for you, especially if you have a dog.

Twe particularly liked the relaxing environment and overall presentation Chimney Cottage. Can honestly say it was the best cottage that I have stayed at.

The cottage was much more spacious than we had expected. It was lovely having the garden to sit in. There was lots of information about the local area which was helpful. It was all perfectly suited to our needs. We loved this cottage and its location. There was a lot to do in the area, both on fine and wet days.
